HACKED!

Your blog spot has been hacked!
Good thing the hacker only changed your crappy over played music to some new tunes that we can all enjoy. It's about time dude, I don't know how much more Madonna & Bon Jovi I could take!

What are these?

You might ask...

What are those cute little squares?
Well let me tell you....

Sticky Note Pads!
Aren't they cuteness?
Sure beats the ugly yellow they are!
These are a little Birthday gift for a new friend.

Again I must confess... not my idea. But I did execute the "Knock-Off" rather well if I do say so myself! :)

P.S. Kathy, I used my new "Score-Pal" to make these! Thanks again!

Ok I'm sad its all blurry but click on it and it will link you to the page were you can make your own.
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. Fond memories from 30 years ago.

Birthday Present to me!

Ok since it is now officially July 13th I am going to show you what I got myself for my birthday. Funny thing is I'm sure I bought me something else for my birthday but can't remember... oh I think it was some new shirts... excuses, excuses!

The Zutter Personal Binding System!

Bind-it-All
I know, some of you are thinking "ummm, what is that?" others are drooling.
For those of you not drooling in severe jealousy I will explain.

Remember the old school office binder to make nifty bound books for whatever your corporate occasion? This my dear is a FABULOUS binder for scrapbooking. There are many things you can do with this lovely tool. Make your own notebook, Mini-albums (my favorite idea so far), oh and if you have a new "tin" license plate that is old you can punch holes in it and bind pages into it! you can punch through a CD and make a mini-album... so many fun things.....

If your name is Kathy...

Stop reading and do not scroll down.

I know, mean!

Or if you want to see a special little ditty I will be mailing this week then go ahead and look. :) It's ok either way.

I saved a box that 2 packages of Fruit Chillers came in and cut it up... Along the left side I will punch the holes and bind it all together in it's own little mini-album. The back of each has something on it also. I will post a picture of it once it's all bound up together... I'm waiting on a few pieces to dry. :)

Happy Birthday Kathy!

Pre-Birthday Celebration

Today I went to....

In Dallas, not Beverly Hills.

I got....
2 cupcakes...Yes... you saw the receipt right..
1 Chocolate Cupcake with Sprinkles
+
1 Red Velvet Cupcake with a dot (have no idea why)
=
$6.50
I don't care... It's my birthday!

P.S. The chocolate one was really moist and yummy. I saved the red velvet (their best seller) for tomorrow.

Smelly Saturday...

Prevent Body Odor with Baking Soda and Lemon (and Book Signing Sunday) [DIY]

Popout
Sick of your store-bought, baby powder-scented deodorant? James shows us how to smell better using baking soda and lemon. (Editor: James is my hero.) The combination is a natural deodorant that absorbs moisture and kills odor-causing bacteria. My kung fu teacher swore by this technique, and he was a pretty sweaty guy. Also, come get your copy of my book, Urawaza, signed at Double Punch, a Japanese toy store in San Francisco tomorrow. Come out and say hi (but please, no haters)! Get more details here. Also check out five more secret Japanese tricks to make life better.

The promised picture of my new phone

I hope this makes you giggle. I know I promised a photo of my new phone. I was bored with the available wallpapers so I purchases one. I decided this was the one I needed... to remind me not to be such a grouch.

My new Blackberry Curve. Send me an email..... I can answer it from anywhere!

On the eve of the eve of my birthday...

I figured it was time I posted ... at least something. Ever since I took the time to figure out Google Reader I haven't done much blogging. I just read everyone's! I know, not fair.

I am trying to change my ways.

Birthday Plans: I have been cleaning my apartment tonight so I don't feel guilty running off and doing something fun tomorrow to celebrate my birthday. My celebrations must take place on Saturday seeing as how my actual birthday is on the Sabbath day this year. I think I have decided to go antiquing tomorrow after I get my hair cut. Part of me wants to drive over to Canton because there are so many places to shop and the prices are very good... but it's not "the" weekend to do Canton. The first weekend of the month is evidently the HUGE weekend at Canton. I stopped there on my drive to Atlanta and bough a cool metal basket for 20 bucks.
Here is a picture...

So speaking of Antiquing....

These are a few of my most recent finds.

1. New Pie Birds... that are not actually birds! The ones on the far right... Mammy and Pappy. The third one from the right is also a recent addition found in Canton... It's brown and black, unlike the three on the far left that are the typical pie birds you might find. These make me happy :)

2. Sunbonnet Sue pillows (from old quilts). I found these both in the same day. It was not a collection I had already started. Honestly I just want the Sunbonnet Sue quilt that used to hang over the headboard (propped up between the wall and the side of the bed) at my Grandmas house. Siblings... you might remember this... I know I have fond memories of sleeping on Grandmas bed. Anyway, here is a picture of the two pillows I found on the same day in stores just down the street from one another in rural North Texas. Kind of hard to see them so click on the pic to make it bigger.

3. Old Office Shelf (metal)... previously a nasty "I have a brain cloud, stuck in a ding office gray" now painted a happy pink color to brighten up my craft room and provide some organization of my "stuff".
Here is a picture of the shelf and then one of my craft room with it "in use" :)
P.S. I was just finishing up a page hence the mess!

Happy 4th of July

Yesterday morning I got ready to leave for work only to go pick up my phone and find it wigged out and decided not to charge. That's what I get for buying a first generation razor. So I decided it was time for a new phone. I'm currently sitting in my friends front yard in rural Texas blogging on my new Blackberry Curve! Tomorrow I will take a picture of it with my camera and post it here. I'm in love. I can blog from my phone! Surf the web, you name it.
