Laundry Soap - I made my own

Yes, this is the mess I made making my own Laundry Soap... It didn't take long at all.

This is my recipe:

1 Bar Zote Soap
1 Bar Fells Naptha Soap
* shred in the food processor, this is about 6 cups
2 Cups Borax
2 Cups Arm & Hammer Washing Soda
* Shred it all up together into a finer powder and you are done!

Use 2 Table Spoons per load.
My whites came out WHITER!

I have seen this before and this is my question-How does it smell? I am really into smells. Can you add a scent to the load? I guess I could add fabric softner...Just wondering.

So, you say your whites are whiter, but you can also use it on colors and it doesn't fade them?

If so, this sounds awesome!!

Don't ya, just love being domestic. I make my own soap as well. I don't plan on ever buying soap again.

You're Awesome!

How much does it cost to make your own? Is it more cost effective? It sounds like it if you only have to use 2 tablespoons.
